In many cases, gas detection safety systems will require battery backup to keep systems running during short term power failures. Many IGD control panels can be fitted with small integral battery backup modules. These will usually be adequate to run small systems for short periods on battery power. Where systems require larger run times, this is where our external battery backup modules are an ideal solution.
Where systems are larger or where extended battery running periods are required IGD can supply larger external battery backup modules. Two models are offered, one with a 7AH battery and 150W Power supply. The second larger unit has a 300W power supply and 17AH battery capacity. In both cases when ordered with a control panel then the control panel needs to be a DC powered version as the battery backup modules include the mains power supply.
